Our founder
Just For You Girlfriend was founded by Diane Deaderick-DeMartra, a former adolescent mom. In her prior roles as a college instructor, admissions counselor, program director, and volunteer, she has taught, advised, and/or mentored hundreds of adolescents and young adults. Previously, she established mentoring programs at more than 20 Chicago high schools.

To enlighten, educate, and empower inner-city girls and young women, especially adolescent and young moms, with social-emotional learning, trauma coping skills, and leadership development and opportunities so they may make good choices for their lives, avoid violence and criminal behavior, and thrive in their communities.

That inner-city teen girls and young women, especially adolescent and young, single moms, will have the knowledge, connections, and leadership skills to establish financial sustainability and safe and peaceful communities for themselves, their children, and future generations.
