Choices summer program helps inner-city female youth, especially those who are pregnant and parenting, build resilience, social-emotional intelligence and leadership skills for good life choices. Through structured activities, youth learn to make responsible decisions to live safe and peaceful lives.
Legacy is a a new year-round program, to help inner-city youth build resilent pride, self-esteem and discuss/set life goals while exploring the accomplishments of African Americans.
Dollars & $ense shows inner-city female youth and women how to develop crucial money management skills for life. Through simple financial literacy, they learn to manage and budget money, and how to establish and maintain good credit for future saving and spending for homes, cars, business or entrepreneurship.
Girl Talk, a new initiative, are workshops led by professionals in the field of mental, physical, dental and nutrional health to advocate self-care for female youth and women.
Career Cafes help inner-city female youth learn about possible career choices. In a chaperoned and safe environment, youth are encouraged to meet and talk with career women in their fields of interest. Prior to attending a Career Cafe, youth research their career interests online and advocates help them form questions to ask the career women.
Recognition and Award Ceremonies celebrate participants, advocates and volunteers.
